WOW WOW WOW!!! LOVED every single talk during General Conference! I took notes on each talk and love looking back to see what I wrote about each one. I'm so happy that President Monson spoke 3 times! I love listening to him! They were all good!! Hope y'all got to see/listen too! I know about half those talks were given just for me! I always feel that way anyway!
My kids did pretty good listening too! Ashley tried really hard to listen & take notes but sleep got the better of her each time! hahaha {that was so me up until a couple years ago}
Nathaniel refuses to take notes but listened the whole time. Anson slept & ran around but actually heard them say *Holy Ghost* during breakfast! YAY he got something out of it! LOL
Felicia took notes right along side me! I even paused the DVR {at her request} a couple times so she could spell the speaker's name properly.
After the last session today, I have a little interview with each kid one by one to see what they can remember about all the talks. They're also trying to win candy for every talk they can remember! Anson did good and got 3 pumpkin candy corns {Holy Ghost, go to church & as a bonus he could tell me President Monson's name}. Ashley got 6 pumpkins, Nathaniel got 13 pumpkins and Felicia {because of all her great notes} received 26 pumpkins! She thought she had to eat them all at once & couldn't finish them! Sill girl! I told her to save them for later!
Anyway this weekend has been pretty great!
Oh, we also went to my in-laws' house last night to celebrate my Father-in-law's 75th Birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Jim! I took some pictures of him with all the grandchildren. I'll have to post those later! WE had fun!
On to the BEST news!!! I'm leaving tomorrow to go to TEXAS!!!

I haven't flown in a LONG time so I'm a little nervous about that, but so EXCITED to see my friend, Karyn!!!
Ok gotta go cuz I need to make a little schedule/reminders for Ben! You know, so he can remind the kids of orchestra days, practice their violins, do their homework, check their homework, sign their folders, chorus after school {but pick up Ashley first cuz she doesn't have chorus}! All the stuff that goes on while he's normally at work!
Oh and I need to double-check the DVR to make sure a few of my shows will record! You know ~ priorities! hahaha

Your kids are cute. They listened well! I loved every single minute of conference too. I was so depressed over this country and the economy before, and now feel totally renewed and uplifted. I want to play the sessions over again during the next couple of weeks.
Have a great trip! Are you flying SWA? You'll be fine. Too bad my hubby's not flying tomorrow. Or Crystal.

I'm so happy for you!! I've moved away from my best friend to so I know how much we miss them. I hope you have a safe and fun trip. I loooove loove love the new music LOL!!! I might have to go see that movie again. I hope they show the sing-a-long version here. My daughter and I will blast them outta the house ROTF!!!
What a great idea you had to give your kids candy rewards for paying attention - gotta try that myself next time! Have fun on your trip!
General conference was awesome! I loved the children's choir. The twins were mesmerized by it and sang along!
